As an Aviation Commercial Manager, you will manage airline relationships and maximize commercial benefit of our business. You will also provide day-to-day direction and support to the chairman and managing director. Key responsibilities:
– Manage, guide and develop a team of Aviation Product Executives.
– Take full advantage of available fares and negotiate commercial deals, delivering rebates in financial overrides and marketing contributions.
– Manage airline relationships in the region, ensuring they are mutually beneficial.
– Represent air product at various and regular stakeholder meetings internally, to ensure aviation is recognized as a key part of the customer journey, providing regular updates and insight based on sound commercial knowledge.
– Monitor customer satisfaction results and comments in relation to aviation and identify and share any trends or areas for action, both internally and externally with relevant partners
– Work closely with operation and finance to ensure that Sales are being supported by the Aviation function to increase conversion and maximize revenue
– Manage marketing income for joint campaigns, and co-ordinate with marketing department on activity.
Required skills and qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
– Demonstrable experience as a Commercial Director, Sales Director or similar role with a minimum of 15 years in business development or commercial management, especially in aviation field.
– Extensive experience in market analysis and strategic planning with a proven track record of achieving revenue targets and business growth.
– Strong understanding of market dynamics, sales strategies and business development principles.
– Expertise in market research, data analysis, financial forecasting and budgeting.
– Excellent team leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
– Willingness to think strategically by improving existing systems and developing new standard operating procedures (SOPs).
– Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
– High level of analytical and strategic thinking, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
